These Kansas Pop Rocks are interesting and unique pyrotechnic stones. Mined in the state of Kansas, they started out as fossils from the Cretaceous period, around 80 million years ago. They are sourced from the Niobrara Formation also called the Niobrara Chalk that is a geologic formation that was laid down approximately 84 million years ago. Over time bony material was replaced by pyrite. Sometimes you can see the original fossil imbedded in the rock.

Kansas Pop Rocks is a name given to concretion stones which are found in SW Kansas. These stones are said to have strong grounding and healing metaphysical properties. They may be used to clear the chakras and balance the male and female energy in the body.
Kansas Pop Rocks come in pairs, usually made up of one male Boji Stone and one female stone, and carry a quite useful level of healing energy that is excellent for grounding.

Popular thinking is that the smooth stone is female, and the rough one is male. Many powers are attributed to these stones, the main one being the ability to balance people’s auras. Kansas Pop Rocks are usually sold in pairs. The smoother stone is considered the female and the rougher stone the male, representing the female and male energies.
